Dr. Lia O’Neill M.A. Keawe is an Associate Professor. Her teaching focus and research interests are located in the intersections of comparative politics, historical and political “myths”, body politics of Kanaka Maoli identity and culture, indigenous studies and cultural semiotics. She is also an affiliate faculty at the Center for Teaching Excellence on the Mānoa campus. Dr. Keawe holds a Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Arts degree in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hawaiian Studies.
