The FMP Writing Room

The Faculty Mentoring Program and the Writing Room solely serve Mānoa faculty and full-time teaching staff eligible for promotion and tenure.

The Virtual Writing Room

The Faculty Mentoring Program will host a writing group providing faculty with a virtual space for dedicated writing time to focus on projects.

Members are free to join or leave the sessions as needed.

Two times have been established when a writer may join in.

Convenes (via Zoom):
Tuesdays from 9:30 am–11:30 am
Wednesdays from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm
Closed on holidays.

To attend the virtual space on both days, please register once for each series.


The Writing Room

The Faculty Mentoring Program provides a quiet space and time for individual faculty to write. You may reserve space for yourself or for your Mānoa writing group. Refreshments may be brought in. At times, beverages may be provided by FMP.

  • Unplug from everything
  • Write

The secret to writing is to write.

All communications and requests are confidential.

Weekdays, 9:00 am–4:00 pm
Closed on holidays.
