Part I in the Course Development & Syllabus Design series is a presentation that will provide an overview of some major components of course development and demonstrate how curriculum guides the course design process. Focusing on three questions, i.e. who, what, and how, this session will guide participants in prioritizing students’ learning, selecting course content in accordance with learning outcomes, and customizing teaching methods and assignments for learner needs. Curriculum Studies Professor Patricia Halagao will take the participants through the steps of course planning and offer a roadmap for designing a new course.
