Designing for Engagement:

Better Discussions, Collaboration, and Assessment in Asynchronous Courses

Tuesday, May 20, 2025
10:00 am – 11:00am
Online

FeedbackFruits works with institutions like UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, and UCSF to support active learning through more engaging assessments, peer collaboration, and skill-based teaching. In this workshop, we’ll explore Berkeley’s faculty strategies to design asynchronous activities that guide student thinking, foster accountability in group work, and encourage peer-to-peer learning.

We’ll discuss:

  1. Actionable strategies to boost engagement and feedback in your classroom
  2. Developing effective flipped classroom mechanisms
  3. Dissecting active learning, and discuss an educator’s role in facilitating it
